James A. Warren


James A. Warren holds a PhD in History from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and is currently a Lecturer in the Social Science Division of Mahidol University International College (MUIC), Thailand. Before joining MUIC in 2011, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the History Department of the National University of Singapore (NUS) from 2008 to 2010.  


Specializing in the social and economic history of modern Thailand, his current research project examines the history of alcohol consumption and production in the kingdom.
