Prof. Timur Dadabaev is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Tsukuba and concurrently Adjunct Associate Professor, Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, University of Tokyo.

Prof. Dadabaev is the head of the Special Program for Central Asian Studies at the Graduate School of Social Sciences and Humanities, University of Tsukuba, Japan. 

Selected publications: 

He published with Central Asian Survey, Asian Affairs, Asian Survey, Journal of Contemporary China, Pacific Review, Nationalities Papers, Inner Asia, Strategic Analysis and others. His English-language book monograph is titled Towards Post-Soviet Central Asian Regional Integration: A Scheme for Transitional States, Tokyo: Akashi Shyoten, 2004. He also co-authored and co-edited with Hisao Komatsu, Sahin Karasar and Guljanat Kurmangalieva Ercilasun a book on Central Eurasian Studies: Past, Present and Future, Istanbul: Maltepe University, 2011 and series of co-edited volumes with Takashi Inoguchi, Miguel Basanez, and Akihiko Tanaka on Values and Life Styles in Urban Asia. He is currently working on two book projects on Identity and Memory (due in 2015, Routledge) and Japan in Central Asia (due in 2016, Palgrave).
