Y-Dang Troeung is Assistant Professor of English at City University of Hong Kong, where she teaches courses in Literature and Film Studies. She completed her PhD in English and Cultural Studies at McMaster University in Canada, specializing in the area of Southeast Asian diasporic literature.
Her current research project investigates representations of the Cambodian genocide and its aftermath in contemporary world literature and cinema. Y-Dang is also researching literary and cultural representations of the history of Vietnamese refugees in Hong Kong.
